melete
The Muse of practice and the very soul of the city that is her namesake. She rarely intervenes actively in the activities playing out in the Museum or in the capital at large, but rather sucks all the creative energy out of the Inspirations living there. When she takes physical form, she appears as a butterfly, often with wings in red or pink nuances.
mneme
The Muse of memory and the most actively involved of the five. It is her handwriting the Inspirations find on their welcoming notes, it is generally her words that dictate the weekly exhibitions and it is to her an Inspiration must turn, if they want to complain or gain information. She takes the form of a stern-looking woman with a large hairbun wrapped around stark pink flowers.
aoide
The Muse of voice and song. She is playful and can be almost cruel in her hunt for entertainment. She is never seen, only heard, sometimes using the Inspirations' phone network to seek contact with the visiting artists. Her voice is light and immature, although not the voice of a child. Her favourite passtime is asking riddles and making wordplay.
arche
The Muse of origin. She is the oldest of the Muses and very mysterious, both figuratively and literally wrapped in fog. When materialising, she takes the shape of a black-haired woman whose features are blurred, her eyes covered by a blindfold and every word she utters comes out of her mouth likes smoke, only to trail upwards and disappear. Her appearances are most often followed by contemplation or tragedy.
thelxinoƫ
The Muse of charm. Taking the shape of a young, attractive woman with her hair styled on top of her head, covered in light pink flowers, she takes pleasure in the feelings of euphoria, lust and inspiration which she often tries to infuse in the Inspirations working at the Museum.
